Gabriela Paraschiva Cacuci is a distinguished senior counsel with extensive experience in municipal affairs and corporate law. She currently serves at the New York City Law Department, Office of the Corporation Counsel, a position she has held since 1998. Prior to her tenure in the public sector, Gabriela worked as senior counsel at Brown Raysman Millstein Felder & Steiner, LLP from 1989 to 1998, and in earlier roles at Milgrim Thomajan & Lee, Shearman & Sterling, and Fogleson Cruze Dunaway in Knoxville, TN.
Throughout her career, Gabriela has handled complex legal matters, including high-profile cases such as In re Theatre Row Phase II Associates, where a settlement was reached, and In re Saint Vincents Catholic Medical Centers.
She earned her Juris Doctor degree from the University of Virginia School of Law in 1981 and a Bachelor of Arts from Barnard College in 1978. Gabriela is fluent in Romanian and French and has been recognized for her outstanding achievements in municipal affairs by the New York City Bar Association in 2005.
